Projects Typology

Projects involving basic research, development and innovation covering any of the six specialised areas specified in the Water Campus Strategic Plan, i.e. water resource management, food, social and educational innovation, the environment, information technology and tourism all fall within the scope of the IPICA programme.

What does the programme offer?

The programme will be used to support projects in order to secure specific funding for their development.

Support:

  • Specialised counselling for locating funds for financing projects.
  • Institutional contacts with entities in search of funding.
  • Support for drafting submissions for the selected calls for proposals.

Investment:

  • Covering the costs incurred by preparing proposals whenever necessary, subject to budgetary limitations.

Monitoring:

  • Support for the project from the submission phase until the justification phase.

Eligibility Criteria

Projects will be selected in line with the objectives set out in the Water Campus Strategic Plan. In order to be selected for the IPICA programme projects must fulfil the following prerequisites:

  1. Projects relevant in the water field.
  2. Multidisciplinary projects with a solid critical mass..

Individual projects will not be accepted in this call. These will only be accepted unless the researcher responsible expressly states his or her willingness to work together with other research groups from the same or other scientific fields in the project application.

Selection Criteria

The programmes that comply with the selection criteria will go on to be assessed in line with the following criteria:

  1. Level of innovation of the proposed solution.
  2. Potential to generate economic returns to increase the level of regional, State and international funding for the Water Campus.

Call

Participants are eligible to apply to join the project at any time.

Submissions

  • Only submissions that comply with the eligibility criteria will be admitted.
  • All submissions must be submitted at the Campus of Ourense Research Support Office and sent to the email: vic.investigacion.ou@uvigo.es.
